Perry Belcher Shocking Confession
Here is how I got started on Twitter, Facebook etc…
I know most of the marketing community knows part of this story but I think everyone needs to hear the WHOLE story.
I got in a ton of trouble some time back for marketing dietary supplements. That’s why I tell every client today to steer clear of this industry. Regulations are rigid and if you get very big the pharmaceutical machine will crush you, no matter what you do.
Truth is I believed in every product I sold. I think I read every book in existence on alternative health, hired medical association presidents as consultants & even got FDA licensed. (see below) In the end none of that mattered.
My local county government in Tennessee closed my business, smeard my reputation and took away everything I had in the world…except my knowledge.
I can’t be in any health related businesses and have to report all my activities regularly to the courts including travel, products created etc… Bottom line, I walk the straight and narrow.
The good news is this never has to happen to you. It never had to happen to me. Truth is when you really learn transparent marketing you can market anything successfully, without hype, lies or tricks.
Facts:
I have made some major mistakes in the past.
I should have never entered the health business solely based on what I believed to be true.
I am VERY sorry if I ever harmed anyone, it was never my intent.
I realize now how stupid and irresponsible I was.
This was one mistake out of a career of business successes.
I will never tell anything less than 100% FACT BASED truth till the day I die.
I made this video as soon as I got started in social media to be 100% transparent about my past.
If you’ve ever made a mistake you wish you could take back I’m sure you’ll understand.
Sometimes you just can’t put the shit back in the horse.

Hello Perry,
Thanks for coming clean. It’s best to tell the truth up front to people you are hoping will follow and promote you. Second the government really sucks when it comes to taking. The definitely don’t have the gift of giving unless your bent over. There are a number of true stories out there that would would wake up Americans as to the truth about our system.
I’ve spent the past year trying to learn what took others years to do. Perry if there’s any thing you can teach me that will get me started I’m ready to fly. I’m burning the candle at both ends. At this point I just need that initial start and the rest is history. Hope to hear from you.
John
Hi Perry
Everyone deserves a second chance don’t they?
I don’t know enough about your past ‘problem’ and to be honest – I’m not sure I want to!
My thoughts, if you really weren’t trying to exploit people, but the fault lay within your organisation – You’ve come clean and suffered the consequences!
By being ‘upfront and honest’ about what went on in your video – then in my book you are now clean – you’ve put in behind you – so move forward.
regards
Graham in UK
Hey man, you make me laugh! I think you’re a straight up guy since Mike Dillard introduced you to my world. Your a funny guy with lots of great information that we could all use. Me personally, I don’t care about mistakes people have made when they are honest about them. I’ve made lots of mistakes in the past too.
Hell, I can’t even get into your friggin country because of mistakes I’ve made while I was in my teens and twenties! No one is perfect.
I thought you were going to draw on the white board since you were armed with your marker! Your a good guy and your mother should be proud.

Hi Perry
Thanks for sharing that story with us. It’s always
difficult to admit that we made a mistake and I
appreciate your honesty.
Looking forward to learning how to use Twitter more effectively
from you and provide value to everyone.
Thanks,
Charles
Hi Perry,
A couple of things:
First, I won’t cast the first stone. I admire you for having the guts to tell the story. I think we all walk a thin line between perfectly honest marketing and maybe a bit shady marketing each day. This is not intentional, it’s just that we can’t know everything and are bound to make an occasional mistake. It’s really our intention that matters. So I harbor no bad feelings towards you for your mistake.
Second, you offered what seemed like a sincere offer to help any of us if we need it and if you are able. I would like to take you up on that. I am just starting a new Affiliate Program and would like to impose upon you to make your massive list of contacts aware if it. I don’t think it will conflict with anything you are promoting.
Thanks in advance,
Wayne
Hi Perry – I like you – I think you’re great; but I don’t like this idea of ‘confession videos’ – you’ll start a trend we’ll all have to follow. I’d have to make so many of them.
I don’t have to worry about losing my friends though – I ain’t got none. Just joking (no I’m not). Oh yes I am. Oh no he isn’t.
Amen to James!!
Thanx Perry 4 that heart felt confession. I too have been the whipping boy for the government in Canada. I got caught up in someone else’s nightmare and paid a huge price.Unlike you I was never able to fully recover (financially) So, my heart sank with your woes but also sprang to a new height as you spoke of new ventures and helping others. I’m sure you will do very well as you continue to put others first.
Best Regards,
Gerry
Thanks for this! I had heard “the other guys’ version” of the Perry Belcher story and always wondered why you were silent. Maybe you don’t need to defend yourself, but I really wondered what was going on.
First, you are totally right about the medical industry. I do a lot of medical writing (for medical companies and doctors, not IM) and most documents are written to please the regulators. If they can help patients or be clear to doctors, bonus … but the point is to make the regulators happy.
The regulators aren’t always that smart. I once had to write a patient manual for people who got implantable defibrillator. Notice that defibrillator is a five-syllable word. The government came in, as expected (not mentioning any names but their initials are FDA), and wanted the patient information dumbed down. They said I couldn’t use any word of more than three syllables! That’s right, people were getting defibrillators but the government said we had to write information form them about their defibrillator, but we could not use the word defibrillator. I think the logic was that it might confuse people getting defibrillators if they heard the word defibrillator.
Wow, and these guys want to reform healthcare.
Anyway, thanks for being so honest, loved it. Every story has at least two sides.
All I can say is thank goodness for information products, and great that you are in the Austin, Texas executing a mega successful business. (typo previous post)
Bruce
Hey Perry,
Thanks for posting your story, it is the second time I have heard it, I must say I respect you even more for showing transparency once again.
I have met you here in Austin, Mike Dillard introduced you to me through Magnetic Sponsoring Newsletter and we have met at Dave Gonzales’s AIME Event for Internet Marketers here in Austin, Texas. Your informal presentation at AIME was excellent.
All I can say is thanks goodness for information products, and great that you are in the Austin, Texas executing a mega successful business
Stay healthy and enjoy your week with your Mom.
All the best,
Bruce
Hi Perry,
If only our politicians would be so honest. Good for you for having the integrity and courage to put this put there.
I hate bigpharma and can’t wait until they bite the dust.
More people die in a day from pharmaceuticals than in a year from naturals remedies.
I love your stuff. I read & watch everything you put out. I actually have a little crush on you. It might be that Kentucky accent, I don’t know. My husband knows. I talk about you a lot. But when I asked for $3K to go see you in Austin, he didn’t really go for that!!
Every once in a while I see articles about what you went through.
So I keep studying marketing, copyrighting, and social media.
All I can think is, “See? If you’re good at what you do and you know how to market, no one can take that
away from you. If you know how to market, you can lose it all and get it all back. Even if Perry was sitting on jail, if he had an Internet connection, he’d still rake in the millions!”
You have a gift with video and social media. Keep it coming!
Kari Baxter
Hi Perry,
I have recently joined your email list and have been following you on twitter. I see a person who genuinely wants to help others get ahead with their online businesses.
We all make mistakes but the most important thing is to learn from that mistake and not make it again. No one should judge another until you have walked in that person’s shoes.
So keep your chin up and keep on doing what you’re doing, I’ve learned a lot from you and will continue to listen to your advice. All the best, and God bless
Pam
Hi Perry, I enjoy ur videos too and they have so much content, that I have to pause the video from time to time. Kepp going and make me brighter and an (enlightend) millionaire too, soon.

Hi Perry,
I am only getting to you through your current campaign, and I have found your charts and companion videos very helpful indeed. As for making judgement, any Good Book states that that is not our responsibility, no matter what our opinion may be. If only the self-righteous would understand the plain and simple “do not judge”. You have made an honest admission and many, including myself, will respect you all the more for that – and that before a launch -you must be either nuts – or honest. I’ll go for honest.
Jim
Hi Perry,
I am new here and just getting to know you and how you help others. It was great to hear your story and to see that you are human. We all make mistakes, and I have made my share of them myself including one very big one lately. So, you made me feel like I will be okay and everything will work out. Thank you for that!
Keep moving forward!
Janet
Hey Perry, we all make mistakes and I think it’s great that you’re big enough to own up to those mistakes and hopefully not make them again. I found an article about your arrest at http://cli.gs/yqg3Hu and I truly believe this is something we should all learn a lesson from. I’m glad you’ve overcome this obstacle.
Perry -
I am going to “get real” with you here in response to your “getting real” through this video. I have seen your video a couple of times previously when you linked it to a Twitter post. I have and will continue to Re-Tweet this every time I see it for one simple reason.
My faith is Christian and I love the principles of forgiveness and redemption that are a cornerstone of my faith. Being fallible humans we can all fall short of perfection time and time again – at times some may go beyond making poor choices to consciously commit crimes, or harm another, etc. Does that matter? Absolutely it does!
But here is the reality; the story is not complete until the final chapter is written and only then can the character of a man be judged as final. It sounds like you did indeed cross the line and no doubt you paid a very heavy price and I am sure spend a good deal of your time making apologies for what has been exposed. That being said, you have admitted what has been done, paid your debt to society, and fulfilled your obligations under the law. Both the law and hundreds of thousands of people (friends, piers, associates, clients, customers, members of your list, and social media followers) have indeed proclaimed “your debt is paid in full and you are forgiven.”
Now comes your redemption. I can only judge by my personal experience, anything more is either opinion or an ill advised use stories from others, proof that is neither validated or my own. That type of judgment would lack integrity. I have followed you for the last several months, I have purchased yours and Ryan’s products and listed to hours and hours of your trainings, I have trusted you and with my credit card as a member of your continuity program, and I have benefited greatly from the value I have received.
So being a person of faith, I choose not to judge beyond what I personally know and the law has required. I have witnessed your passion and desire to teach others how to succeed in business, and I believe you have provided a great service to the social media community through your work – teaching others how to be well behaved at the party helps all of us.
Keep changing lives by the power gained through redemptive acts and the anonymous voices will over time fade away, driven into the darkness by the light of truth!
I appreciate you and the work that you and Ryan are producing. Keep adding value, keeping it up front and honest and many will benefit as a result.
Have a blessed day!
James

I just made this exact video last week speaking about getting shot in the head
and nearly dieing. Not to mention going to prison over robbing a casino boat
in 1997.. If people judge us for our past, screw em. If people can appreciate
that our past make us who we are, then they will understand our success.
Here is my crazy story, I watched yours, now I ask you watch mine.

Hi Perry,
Your alright Perry. Great video. I appreciate your honesty. The most valuable
thing a person can have is integrity. The guys that wrote our constitution after it was written pledged their …fortunes and their sacred honor. Most of
lost their homes their families and their fortunes and some their lives. Some
died penniless. But, none of them lost their sacred honor. Does that mean that
we have never lied or failed. No, we have all failed many times. To say that
we haven’t is self righteous arrogance.
Your friend
Write on! Perry Your video is inspiring to anyone that has been in that situation and you tell it like it is. Keep up the good work dude! Your on the write path! You’re absolutely write about the friend situation, when you’re up and in the crowd, everyone likes you, when you’re down and no one’s around, where’s your friends now? I don’t care if I make a damned dime online anymore, I just know what I’m going to do from now on. See ya soon!
Perry, wow man! Way to open up and be vulnerable.
Your story really struck a chord with me. It takes a ton of humility to do what you just did. Awesome stuff man.
P.S-trying to reach you on Twitter. my user name is @lawton_chiles
You honestly believe you beloved in your product when you were selling pills with ASH AND CHILI PEPPER!?
You used to make close to 900k a week ripping people off.
Now you come clean and it was “all a mistake”?
Sure.
Anyone interested Google up Perry…. and watch what the news has to say about this.
I guarantee you this comment will be deleted.

Perry,
I have not been where you are because I have never been where you were. To be honest I have been on your mailing list for some time and never purchased anything from you. After viewing the video I have to say I will be looking into what you do promote because it is far to seldom when someone as honest as you comes along.
If we can all remember where our blessings come from we can all make it things like you had to walk through. Keep looking up.
Hello Perry,
Thanks for the video. I admire your courage and honesty. Look forward to getting more about you.
Helga
When in trouble that is when your true friends show up.What a priceless gift you were given. True friends and true family are cherished far more than any other possesion in my life. Cherish yours and never take them for granted.
Keep up the great work and I wish you all the success, health, love and happines.
Lena
Perry,
Thanks for video. We’re all here for you. I’ve had (still having) some VERY bad things happen the last couple years too. So I can certainly understand you. But, while successes might build a fortune, failures will build character. If we never have a bad day, we would never know when we have a good day. Wishing you, and all of the many friends you have, many good days ahead.

Perry:
The best antidote fo negative people is the truth. You have courage and strength to get out in front of your mistakes and be transparent. You are not the only im to have made mistakes.Your demeanour and behaviour now as a marketer may be the same as your professional inate sales skills, which are had to lose. This time you are much the wiser. Don’t let the carpes get you down and just remember two things. 1. Believe in your own bullshit -act at your own peril and 2. Would I let someone sell this to my mom. Keep those in mind and you will succeed beyond your dreams.
You are very entertaining, and your choice of colorful language and real basic talk are refeshing in this politically correct world. Kudos to Ryan Deiss to for his humanity.
Rock On
Perry –
I feel your pain brother. I too have recently found out who my real friends after a bad business deal – was a great learning experience. Pressing on and appreciating your video and inspiration. Looking forward to learning more from you.
Hi Perry,
Thanks for the video. Thanks for sharing. My daddy use to say what don’t kill you will make your stronger. It seems life is made up those things that make us stronger. What fun would it be if we just got to sit around eating grapes all the time. Right?
You seem to be the real deal and there is so little of that any more. I wish I could get to really spend some time with you and get to know you. I should think we would be fast friends.
God Bless
Kathlene
Apparently my ISP doesn’t support your video format. I’m sorry that I can’t view it. Best of luck.
Sue
Perry,
Great video! Heartfelt. Thanks for the honesty and best of luck.
Perry,
I think all of the comments speak for themselves…or should I say, speak for you!
When it’s all said and done, lessons are learned and the past is the past. We all have one, some more colorful than others. Like I said the first time I met you, at least you had yourself and your knowledge when it was all over and could pick up the pieces and move forward. Forward in a way that is helping thousands daily.
I have learned a lot from you my friend! One of the biggest things I have learned form you is that not only is transparency good but it is needed! What is everyone trying to hide anyways??
Listen up “Perry Haters”…What’s done is done! Dues have been paid and lessons learned.
Because of the past we are lucky enough to be learning from someone who knows where we shouldn’t go.
Thanks for being you! You remind me so much of……me
Remember: “Be As You Are, Live With No Regrets & Ride Life til the Wheels Fall Off”…..It all Makes for a great story in the end!!
See You Soon ~

Respect. I never was in the supplement industry, but it’s in a really bad shape. It’s like MS antitrust case where they defended big competitors instead of the consumers.
Hi Perry
I’ve always liked you and your style.Don’t give a rat’s ass about your past really. You know how you just click right away with certain people you meet? Even though you have no idea who I am and we’ve never personally met, that’s the way I feel with you brother! Thanks for the video!
Take care,
Brian
Don’t worry Perry,
I sticking with ya buddy, everybody makes mistakes in life and we all learn from our mistakes, but we all move on with our lives as well.
I feel ya man.
The Faceless Guru
Hi Perry,
Man all I can say is that you are a very brave man. To come out like that and be that transparent being where you are right now maybe even considered by some marketing experts a suicide. But I am with you man. I am one of those people who follow the lead of people like you who can be honest to his listeners.
More power to you Perry!
Thank you for this video and God bless you.
Regards,
Renato
Perry,
I don’t know you, but I follow you on Twitter. I saw this video posted a while ago and was very impressed by your honesty. I know I retweeted the link and, I think, I added a ‘Must see’ comment.
I think marketers can get too caught up in all the copywriting tricks, all the clever tactics and techniques and miss a very fundamental fact about people: we know we’re not perfect and we know it’s a front when damn near *all* the pitches we see on the Internet are from people who did miraculous things “on autopilot” “overnight.” It all begins to ring hollow after a while.
Give the people what they want: a little honesty, a little humanity, and yes, a little contrition. It is endearing. It is refreshing. It is human.
This is one of the fundamental issues that “social” media brings to the fore. I think it will up the ante and change the game for what it means to “market on the Internet.”
Thanks for putting yourself out there — warts and all — and demonstrating the guts it will take to connect with real people interested in real things.
Regards,
@roadmapp
Hey Perry,
Been there brother. I used to own a publishing and marketing company we grew pretty fast and added our own commercial printing plant. I brought in a couple of family members to the company as they were having financial issues they wound up embezzling the company to the point of bankruptcy and left me with a six figure tax bill. One of the members was doing the bookkeeping and funneled all the tax money to other areas. the other family member took my customer list and decided to start a business of their own all the while dragging my name through the dirt. That hurt the most as I had worked so hard to build a reputation. Ethics is everything in my world and when that came into question it really broke my heart. At the time my wife and I were pretty much on the A list being invited to party’s with the local Illuminati. Once everything went down all that was gone ” no big loss i thought they were a bunch of ass kissing bores anyways”. The great thing was just like you I had the opportunity to see who my real friends were. And that was awesome!
Things got so bad I wound up moving back to California where I grew up. I got into internet marketing but also had a knack for food, particularly hot sauce. I actually won the largest hot sauce contest in the world the “international scovie awards” for my category. I had some folks talk me into manufacturing the sauce and said they would back me financially. So I was off again on the entrepreneural road! The company really took off and I was gaining some personal notoriety for my sauces on a national level. So much so that my partners decided that even though I own 51% of the company they were going to shut me out and sell the sauce on their own. Although legally I was completely in the right I just did not have the financial resources to fight so instead I just let the company dissolve. The good news is the partners sold absolutely nothing after I left as all my sales were based on my reputation. So I now the company is dissolved and I will eventually build aging although this time much wiser.
I have never really told my story to many folks, as I am not one to cry over spilt milk. But I could relate to your story on so many levels.
Money comes and goes but friends are absolutely priceless so although painful finding out who my true friends were is probably the best thing that ever happened to me.
I now have a small group of friends that have seen my rise and fall a couple of times and WHO I am has no relevance for them. They are there through thick and thin and realize I am an serial entrepreneur and it isn’t always about the money always for me.
The final point I want to make is I actually follow your info because of a mutual friend of ours and he has nothing to say but how strong your ethics and quality of your products are. I rarely listen to the little gossipy folks I have been on the other side of that gossip so I know the true value of their words. I plan on saving up “not as solvent as I once was =)” and purchasing you social media program. I know if it comes from you it is gonna be great. Sorry for the rambling and typos I wrote this pretty fast but thought it was important you hear a similar story.
Warmest Regards,
Rob
Hi Perry
Really love the videos and other stuff you’re doing at the moment –
We all make mistakes.
To the Future
Jerry
Yo Perry -
First off I wanted to say thanks for what you do, love your stuff so far. I’m new to your work, was introduced through Kern’s emails. As I’m sure you hear many times over the best part about you is the down home, friendly, we’re just hanging out together feel that you give to your clients (friends).
I relate to your story in many ways. As you know it’s not if you fall down it’s weather you get back up and what you do after that. Kind of an old cheesy cliche but so true.
I’m very excited for the new system to come out, I have most everything in place but could use some coaching on the Social Media sites. I’m excited to implement the system into my standard business as well. I’m really new to the Internet Marketing business but absolutely love what I’m doing. I figure between your system, Frank’s Mass Control, and Traffic Geyser I should be able to have quite a bit under my belt to get started.
Thanks again for sharing, enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Zachary -
Hey Perry I just got in to watching your stuff on here. a friend mine set me some of void stuff and side this guy is giving some thing away for free it’s good business advice you might listen o him some time so all i have is some of your voids. but it’s hard when you get shut down in that way. yes you keep doing what doing it’s all good . but when you get some lets talk about some other business . Perry,
Thanks for sharing…your story and vulnerability are refreshing.
I think your story will be inspiring to many who are in the midst of challenging times.
You were one of the first to follow me when I got on twitter and you have without a doubt provided me with more great information (and laughs) than anyone else I follow.
Thanks again,
Pete
hey man, nice to know that you are human like the rest of us. it seems that those who smear the sh** seem to forget that they too are human and make mistakes. but the thing that divides us from other beings on this planet is we learn from mistakes and it makes us stronger. I think that from this point on you will be that person you were meant to be, and I will still follow your trail blazings. luck and keep up the hard fight.
Perry,
Just yesterday I read on a certain forum about your past problems. I noticed that the idiot who brought back to light your past has less then 30 total post’s on that forum. lol Why do some people appoint themselves the morality police for ever one else?
Listen, I think you did a great thing by making this video and sending it to your list. It connected with me and that is why I am commenting. I will be on the lookout for more of your content.
Cheers!
Hey Perry,
I really appreciate your honesty. You’re probably one of the few “real” gurus in the Internet Marketing community.
I doubt you’ll ever get this message, but I sincerely hope to meet you in person soon. It turns out we have a lot in common.
All the best,
Doberman Dan
***Omar Briones*** Dude! Thank you…. is that for real? You made me spit my coffee all over my computer I laughed so hard! Blah, blah, blah…. “A similar thing happened to me when I was selling weed.” ROFLMAO – Thanks i needed that!
Thanks for sharing. Must confess I haven’t made great waves with the networking sites myself but I am working on it
Perry,
I think we’ve all been there in some way on some level. I know I have. Thanks for the video. Look forward to getting to know you more.
Bill
Hey Perry, name’s Omar Briones. I’ve been following you on twitter and added you on fb a while ago…
I just wanna let you know that I’m here for you too. And thanks for sharing that story, I can totally relate to it. A similar thing happened to me when I was selling weed. Our shop got raided, they took everything, the whole business got shut down, and I had to start from scratch.
That was a real eye opener for me too, and I spent the next few months finding myself and truly understanding what I wanted in life. Now I’m all on the internet with network marketing (ironcially selling herbal products lol).
Thanks again for coming out and sharing that amazing story man. I hope we could connect sometime. And I’m always here to help in any way I can.
~Omar
